Flying out today to New York Fashion Week, so exciting... I decided to post about Prabal Gurun's RTW Spring 2010 collection.

The September Issue

I was lucky enough to attend the screening of The September Issue, the much buzzed about documentary directed by RJ Cutler about Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's preparations for the 2007 fall-fashion issue.I enjoyed this documentary and I think anyone who has interest in fashion or working for a fashion magazine should see this film. I really like how RJ Cutler showed Anna's fun and playful side.

Skin+ Bones case study

Lena Criveanu has a strong point of view and she tells a story that is at time creepy yet beautiful with her Spring/Summer '09 collection. The shapes of her garments reminds me of Frank Gehry. The top dress is my favorite, I love how it's strong looking yet sexy by showcasing the model's back.
